Rotary Club of Florence Presents Seven Scholarships to High School Seniors in Boone County

The Rotary Club of Florence will be presenting $1,000 college scholarships to seven Boone County high school seniors at their meeting on Monday, April 29th at noon.  The presentation will be at the Hilton Airport in Florence.

The selections were based on interviews of nominees from each of the high schools by Florence Rotary members, academic achievement and community service in keeping with the Rotary International motto of “Service Above Self.” In addition to excelling in the classroom, the recipients have “wonderful service to the community,” said Barbara Rahn, who led the Scholarship Committee.

The scholarships winners are:

Boone County High School – Madelyn Gerber
Conner High School – Taylor Deters
Randall K Cooper High School – Kathryn Jordan
Larry A Ryle High School – Margaret Kinney
St. Henry District High School – Sarah Brennen
Walton-Verona High School – Elizabeth Stapleton

Small High Schools Combined Category (20 seniors or less)
Union Pointe Academy – Nathaniel LaMontagne
